Meet Emily

Emily works with individuals, couples and families, specializes in children, tween and teen therapy, young adults, sleep disorders, LGBTQ,  Queer Affirming.

Emily is a graduate of The Family Institute at Northwestern University. She has experience with individuals, couples, and families and specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Using a trauma-informed approach, Emily builds strong relationships with clients, forming a strong foundation to support each client in their work together. Emily is dedicated to intersectionality and multicultural competency. 

Emily builds strong and lasting connections with clients and fosters a safe and collaborative environment for you to achieve your goals. Depending on your needs, therapy can look like a long-lasting relationship or short-term support. Emily is passionate about bringing elements of play therapy and art into the counseling space. 

Emily comes from a background in sleep research. While academia and science are still fascinating to Emily, it became clear that they value connection with people most. Emily brings that same curiosity and work ethic from the research lab to the counseling room by constantly reading and learning about the most up-to-date counseling research and getting curious about each client. Counseling is about finding the right goals and treatments for each individual, couple, and family unit, and Emily is excited to help you achieve them!
